In order to update Nahimic driver, please launch the attached tool that will process to detect your hardware, check your system updates, clean and install everything needed to get Nahimic working again with latest driver update.
Just let me know when the update works because I don't want to try and make it worse.
Just in case you have a Lenovo Legion laptop, it works like this again
Install the Nahimic software from the Microsoft Store -> download "A-Volute - SoftwareComponent - 4.9.10.0" from this link: https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=a-volute%20-%20softwarecomponent -> extract the Cab file to a folder with e.g. the program Winrar (https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm) -> go to Device Manager -> Software Components -> Nahimic Nh4 Audio Effects Component -> right-click on it -> update driver -> click on browse my computer for drivers -> click on browse -> select the folder you previously extracted the files into -> click on next -> restart the computer -> done

Hi, thanks for this suggestion. I noticed that 4.9.10.0 is only available for Windows 11 for all 3 options in the Microsoft Update Catalog.
Did you install 4.9.10.0 on a Windows 10 machine? I'm on 10 still so wanted to ask before doing anything.

Then it indicates that your computer is not built for Nahimic, then you must contact the manufacturer of your computer. And then it doesn't help that you complain here to Nahimic, because Nahimic has nothing to do with this.
Hi, new here. Ok I have a 10th Gen MSI laptop that uses Nahimic 3. Try the above Restore Tool & it proceeded to install older drivers. I had to use Windows Update to put in the latest ones. So my take is & I have 1.0.5 Restore tool too . If 1.0.7 is their latest it needs to be updated. It installed 3 drivers ALL older than what Windows Update has had for months. An older audio, mirroring & I forget the other one. Kind of a shame to come here & get last years Nahimic 3. Oh well, I tried. And yes it still worked, but still older. The Microsoft Store is not the place to go to except for A Volute, as far as my experience. Updating order? Different updates come out all the time. Realtek I always do 1st if Nahimic has one too. Otherwise order? I followed MSI/Nahimic recommended order, it's "It's all bullshit". Realtek's InstallShield setup.exe is all junk in your trunk. I found 9 gigs of 6.0.9652 in my Drivers Store, drivers for every computer ever made that uses Realtek audio. Then if you use Realtek's uninstaller, it will remove all Nahimic stuff, all Intel audio drivers & then break you audio too. That's All Bullshit! I no longer use Realtek's Audio InstallShield POS setup.exe. Good luck out there. Maybe someday Nahimic will come out with one installer for their audio instead of the 3 or 4 one needs to install now.

that's not necessarily true. i find myself having to reload all my stuff after the factory installed SSd failed. process is being eased by having the factory restore media available, but not by much. my system came with nahimic 3 installed, but after upgrading from default win10 1803 > win10 22h2 > win11 23h2 > win11 24h2 , nahimic was no longer working properly. the devices (which i know for a fact should have been there listed in software components (a-volute nh3 driver) was not. the restore tool was not fixing it either. I had to install and older version that registered the drivers using pnputil.exe before the avolute driver would appear. THEN the restore tool worked properly.

You just realized that your computer was not completely up to date. The premise for your computer to work as it should is that it has the latest updates.

After that, I open again the Nahimic app and wait for the "critical driver update required" to show up.

Hello everyone, I managed to resolve the issue on my system (ASRock Z790 Pro RS/D4). I checked the logs, and the PowerShell Community Extensions (Pscx) module was overriding Expand-Archive.
Removing the module was the fastest way to allow the scripts to run. The solution on the developers' side would be using it as Microsoft.PowerShell.Archive\Expand-Archive.

Same situation, my AORUS 17 WA had the NAHIMIC driver updated and it stopped working, I installed the tool but the problem persists.I installed this and it completely bricked my windows 11 on restart, making it to where I can't open any apps and any that launch on startup are extremely slow and unresponsive. can't even open task manager or anything. going to try to fix it using safe mode but I can't believe how horrible this situation is. running a Gigabyte A5 X1

Hello, sorry if the way this is written is not correct, I am using a translator to contribute to the community, I recently managed to make the program (nahimic) work again.
The solution is quite simple, the only thing that needs to be updated is the swc audio driver to version 4.9.10.
If you can't find the driver in the device manager, I will tell you the exact path.
Once inside the device manager, look for the software components section. Once deployed, the driver called "A-Volute APO 4" may appear as the first option, this is the one we must update.
By the way, the nahimic program must be at version 1.10.1.
Once you update the driver, restart the computer and the program should work
