What is Sound Tracker?

The Sound Tracker is an FPS oriented feature that provides a visual indication localizing the source of the strongest sound while in a game. Thanks to this feature, players are able to pick up an approaching threat more definitively and easily, thereby being even more dynamic. Please report to this page to know which games are supported.

The Sound Tracker captures the 5.1 and 7.1 sound streams processed by your audio system, and is displayed in a chosen list of games using DirectX 9,9c,10 and 11. Please remember that Sound Tracker is only available if you are using an audio device that supports Nahimic 2 effects. If you want to know more about which devices Nahimic 2 supports, please report to this page.

Has Version 2 been released? I'm hoping its about to be released and supports Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege as its the main game I play and frequently get killed because I can't hear the direction the sounds are coming from as my left ear is deaf. I was hoping I could use the soundtracking radar in-game as a visual aid and the Audio tuning part of the Nahimic app has improved my sound and I hear everything more clearly but for some reason I can't get the radar, which is enabled and switched on, to show in-game, even though if I have the game running in windowed mode with the app next to the game screen, I can see the radar reacting to sound. I can't find any instructions on how to link it to my game to get it to appear in my full screen game. I tried playing it in windowed mode with the radar next to it but with the small game screen and ever-changing desktop surrounds and having to look away from the game to look at the radar right when it was needed most just got me killed more than ever.

BTW, while in that setup, I noticed the radar reacted to my discord voice chat, suggesting a location and muddying up the in-game sounds I needed to hear and see on the radar.

Are there any videos you can link me to showing how I should link my games with the radar so it shows in-game? I may help to know I'm using a Lenovo laptop, trying to run the game and Nahimic in an external 4k display. The games work perfectly.

You can try to download Full audio driver package from Lenovo's support website:Official Lenovo Laptop, Accessories & PC Support - Lenovo Support US and upgrade Nahimic3 to latest version.Restore tool://s3.amazonaws.com/chd-data/files/2670/2338464379_3df18f685809576e59806d1f1c5ab740_1905808/NahimicRestoreTool_1.0.3.exe ,restart Windows ,and reopen it. Tips: only support DX11 now, New SoundTracker v2.0 will release 2023Q3

Sound Tracker now prevents you from launching CSGO even if disabled

how do you make the tracker show up in games if it's turned on and the sample works in nahimic 3 from windows store on a new msi gt63 ?

the game is elder scrolls online so i would think it would work.

the sound tracker option is no longer available in versions 1.4.4 & higher of the nahimic 3 app from the ms windows store.  it was there in older versions like 1.4.1/1.4.2, 1.3.11 & earlier.

if you need the sound tracker option in the Nahimic 3 app, download & install an older version like 1.3.9 from Gigabyte or 1.4.2 from ASRock and disable MS store from auto updating apps to prevent MS store from updating the Nahimic 3 app to the recent version that removed the option (until the nahimic support team can release a newer version that could restore the sound tracker option)
