Unable to install Nahimic

I am trying to reinstall Nahimic but when I do, I get a popup saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."  Verify that you have access to the ProgramData: Nahimic2CheckDevicesConfigurator.msi location and try again.

Followed by another popup saying, "The older version of CheckDevicesConfigurator cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group."

I've already uninstalled Nahimic, it no longer shows on my programs list. When I try clearing out temp and cache files, I get the same error.

I have already installed the latest audio driver.

Ccleaner or any other app is not clean all Nahimic remains on regedit. I found a solution (without clean windows installation) for cleaning regedit manually. First find the what version causing problem. In this article capture.jpg shows us v2.2.701/nahmic2....msi causing problem (mine was v2.3.1). Open regedit take a backup and start deleting remains. Simply ctrl+F and search for "v2.2.7" (this will change what you receive in error message). Found remains is "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{........}\v2.2.7\.....msi" type. delete this remains with {...ASD.....} folder. Then press F3 or find next button and delete all remains in described type. Try to install nahimic again if you have an error related to Realtek Driver, uninstall and reinstall Realtek before installing Nahimic. If this solution does not work, search "nahimic" on regedit and delete what can you found, then uninstall and reinstall Realtek and after these, try to install Nahimic again.
Sorry for my bad English.

Have you resolved your issue yet? I am having the exact same problem.

I have. Unfortunately, the only solution I found to make it work again was to perform a system re-image (system restore did not work for me either, but that's probably because I did not have a restore point prior to the Windows update).

Reverting Windows back to 1511 after the 1607 update didn't work for me either. 1607 has several issues at the moment, so after I re-imaged my system, I installed wushowhide to prevent the Windows 1607 feature update (in case it automatically installs the update for me again just to cause more unnecessary issues).

Hey Kyrillo!

I've tried that method already, it did not seem to work for me. I tried it again just now, it still does not work :( I made sure to go through the powerscan for both Realtek and Nahimic and deleted all the residual files as well. The same popups keep appearing. When I try bypassing the popups, I get a "installation has failed."

Hello Eric !

Can you try this process please : https://nahimic.helprace.com/i73-my-installation-is-stuck-on-acquiring-what-can-i-do

That kind of problem appears when Windows is upgraded and moves registry keys.

Tell me if it's ok :)
